And while I was thrilled to connect her to the ministry leaders over the three ministries this wasn’t my early and surprising Christmas present.  Two weeks ago, Suzanne asked me if I could sit with her grandson, Gabe who is in the 7^th grade during our contemporary worship service as she attends a Bible study at our church during that worship time and then attends our blended worship service.  I immediately jumped at the opportunity to sit with Gabe.  Before the service I found out that this Sunday was the first time Gabe had ever attended church.  This past Sunday Gabe and I meet again for his second Sunday to attend church and I asked him where he wanted to sit.  He said on the front row.  As with his time the week before he was totally engaged in the service, especially the baptisms that took place during both Sunday worship services that he attended.  After the service he told me he would like to be baptized.  Before I took him to his Bible study class he and I went and opened the Bible and looked at the Scriptures that help a person commit their life to Christ.  I helped Gabe understand that baptism is a symbol of someone who has given their life to Christ.  Right in my office Gabe bowed his head and prayed to receive Christ.
