Where Do I Begin?

Establishing a perspective that leads to a purposeful vision means committing to God’s requirements and following His guidelines. The first step is to reduce the process to its simplest form, the core issue, and the heart of the matter. Take a few minutes to reflect upon the end of your life’s journey. Answer the questions below.

Purposeful Vision - Where Do I Begin?

Part of establishing a purposeful vision will involve discovering your values and priorities. Many individuals may know their values and priorities but never connect the two together. The following six steps will guide you through a process that allows your values and priorities to not only connect, but also apply personal action statements. You will then discover a simple process of making action statements a reality through your daily schedule.

Step 1: Discover Values
Step 2: Develop and Sequence Emerging Priorities
Step 3: Values, Priorities, and Life Roles Incubate Mature Attitudes and Action Statements
Step 4: Schedule Action Statements For Implementation
Step 5: Build a Wall Around Your Faith
Step 6: Renew Your Mind and Heart

Values are principles, qualities, and ideals.

Principles that you deeply appreciate and that define the real you

Qualities that reflect your dominant thinking, the underlying cause of your behavior
Ideals that stir your passion and create willful and determined responses

Values function as a filtering system.

Unless you see worth or place importance on a quality or trait you will not accept it fully or acknowledge it appropriately.
