Learn How to Solve the Discipleship Dilemma and Build a Strong Congregation
The learning experience WILL NOT be an info commercial for PLACE Ministries, and I WILL NOT pressure you to purchase our resources.
However, if you are interested in learning more about how PLACE Ministries can help your church’s discipleship process, we would be thrilled to serve you.
Jay graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Sociology and then graduated with his Masters from Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary.
In 1989 Jay joined his family’s home building company where they became one of the largest residential home builders in the country. In 1996 Jay felt God leading him to start MDC Today Foundation where he launched PLACE Ministries in 1998
Through PLACE Ministries Jay has created numerous resources to help God’s people discover how God created them so they can be and do what God created them for in life and ministry (Ephesians 2:10).
Jay became the Chaplain for the Atlanta Braves in 2011 where he is entering his 13th season with the Braves.
In 2015 Jay became the Discipleship Pastor at First Redeemer Church which is located in Cumming, GA, a suburb outside Atlanta. And most importantly Jay has been married to Ginger McSwain for 32 years and they have two daughters, Maggie and Mary.
Mary is entering her senior year at Samford University where she is getting her degree in Psychology and a minor in Biblical Studies.
In 2021, after years of hearing, reading and studying personality, spiritual gifts and the five elements of PLACE Mary started traveling and speaking around the country with her dad.
In 2022 Jay and Mary started a podcast together called myPLACE Tools Podcast where they discuss the elements found in the PLACE assessment.
Mary is currently helping Jay finish a book that will be released in the fall of 2023.
