This past month at PLACE Ministries was full of new beginnings and new ideas.
PLACE workshops, coaching workshops, podcast recordings,
new ministry opportunities and partnerships, and lots of team meetings.
We are continuing to build a new coaching curriculum for PLACE coaches and find news ways to help people navigate our existing and newest resources and platforms.
And most importantly, we are constantly asking the Lord for wisdom and discernment on when, where, and how to plant in this new season.
North Hall High School Volleyball Program
NEXT GENERATION | CHARACTER | COMMUNITY | CHANGE
NG3 is a faith based mentoring program that partners with schools across the state. They strive to connect leaders with students and teams at local high schools to foster relationships, build character, and grow their faith.
Bucky and Jameson, NHC’s youth pastor, recommended me to NHHS’s NG3 director, Jason, after hearing that the volleyball program had voiced a need for a new leader.
This will not only be an opportunity to pour into the local community, it will also reinforce a part of the mission and vision for implementing PLACE at North Hall Church. Their mission being to identify their people and connect them to service within both the church and the community.
Coaching Workshop at Brentwood Baptist in Nashville
Brentwood Baptist has partnered with PLACE for many years and has found great success and growth with church membership and engagement.
They also established the Middle Tennessee Leadership Institute and the Center for Christian Coaching where they offer training workshops and curriculum for leaders and ministry residents.
Michele Dyer, Brentwood’s Connection Minister and long time partner with PLACE, invited me to their Coaching Foundations workshop. Between the workshop, getting to sit down with Michele, and exploring future partnerships with new churches, I gained invaluable knowledge about coaching, assimilation, and engagement that I will be able to implement with both PLACE
and North Hall Church.

BUCKY KENNEDY AND MYPLACE PODCAST RECORDINGS
Weekly sermon recaps are recorded and posted on BKM platforms in addition to other occasional topical podcasts we record for BKM.
We also began recording podcast episodes for our myPLACE podcast that we will start releasing this fall.
The Park has used PLACE for many years as an integral part of the membership process.
The workshop was an opportunity to walk through the PLACE process from a teaching standpoint and further our connection with this church. It also served as an opportunity to learn about how other churches implement PLACE and assimilate and engage their members into the life of their church.
